Our Centre for Cultural Research is helping six of Sydney’s largest councils understand the impact of backpacker tourism on their communities. They face unique problems because of their popularity amongst back packers, and this research will help them effectively manage the issues and needs of both the visitors and the local residents. This research is funded by an Australian Research Council Linkage Grant.
